JURASSIC LAKE LODGE
Jurassic Lake Lodge is the original world-class fly fishing lodge located on Strobel Lake, one of the most remote and wild places of Southern Argentine Patagonia. Famous for its incredible trophy rainbow trout fishing in pristine waters, the lodge is strategically located on a protected bay within walking distance of the mouth of the Barrancoso River, Strobel Lake’s only significant tributary. This inlet is home to the most productive waters of the entire lake and is easily one of the very best trophy rainbow trout fisheries in the world.
It simply must be experienced to be believed.
Anglers visiting Jurassic Lake Lodge gain access to the best water available on Strobel Lake and the Barrancoso River. They fish with a premier staff of dedicated, skilled guides and travel to the lodge in a short chartered flight instead of a day-long drive across the Patagonian steppe. At the end of their day fishing, they enjoy the comforts and amenities provided by our beautiful and fully remodelled modern lodge.
Join us this season and experience this astounding trout fishery and the best of Argentine hospitality for yourself. You’ll soon learn why dedicated anglers from across the globe return to Jurassic Lake Lodge year after year.

It is the only significant tributary of Strobel Lake and it runs almost entirely through Jurassic Lake Lodge property. The inlet is only a short walk from the lodge and our guests have exclusive access to fifteen miles of this astounding fishery. Every day the Barrancoso, an angler could have the opportunity to sight cast at the largest rainbow trout of their lives.

YOUR DREAM TRIP IS WAITING
GETTING HERE IS EASY NOW
For years, guests of Jurassic Lake Lodge endured a seven-hour drive across the Patagonian Steppe of Southern Argentina on their way in and out of the Lodge. The remote location was worth it because of the incredible numbers and size of the rainbow trout in Strobel Lake and the Barrancoso River.
Those days of long travel are now largely a thing of the past. A few years ago we built a private landing strip on our property and began to fly visiting anglers in and out of the Lodge on a privately chartered plane. The journey that had previously taken most of a day now is only an hour and a half long. This means much more time spent fishing and relaxing at our beautiful lodge instead of days spent traveling.
Convenient One and a Half Hour Flights every Saturday from the coastal city of Comodoro Rivadavia. Only a Two Hour Flight from Buenos Aires.
Direct Flights also available from anywhere in Argentina or Chile, including: Río Grande, Calafate, Bariloche, Esquel, Coyhaique, San Martín de los Andes, and Balmaceda.
